Nelson Mandela's Journal | SLJ | W2

LI: To write a journal of Nelson Mandela's experience in Robben Island Prison.
Today is the Summer Learning journey W2 I am doing. I got asked to imagine I was nelson Mandela and wrote a journal of what I do each day. I first started of with day 1. I made it more descriptive by adding what they eat for breakfast lunch and dinner.

  1. Hi Charlize, Mrs Collins from Manaiakalani here commenting on blogs over term break. Well done on posting and participating in the SLJ this year. Nelson Mandela spent a lot of time in jail, how do you think he coped? What could he do to keep his mind and body active? Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!

  2. Hello Charlize! This was a really well written and descriptive Journal Entry. I love how you added what he ate for detail, because it sounded very realistic. After those long days, how do you think Mandela relaxed or felt? Great work!

  4. Morena Charlize! How are you doing today? Olive here. Palm trees are still swaying outside my window! Where’s summer gone?

Thank you for a great blog post! I really enjoyed reading your journal entry about Nelson Mandela’s experience in Prison. It was a very sad thing that happened. I think you gave a very descriptive, realistic point of view. It was really interesting to read about the different food he could have eaten. Ka pai for all your effort in your writing.

    Keep up the great blogging!

    Ngā mihi,
    Olive

  5. Hey Charlize!,
You have a great, interesting and descriptive journal about the pov of Nelson Mandela. It must've been very hard in prison, for Nelson Mandela. I have really enjoyed reading your descriptive journal. It looks like you have put a lot of effort into these SLJ activities, so great work.

    Keep It Up!

  7. Hi Charlize,
I liked how you included that extra detail of what he had to eat and also what he was forced to do while in prison. Did you know that the reason Nelson Mandela went to prison was because he had tried to overthrow his unfair government at the time?
