The Right to Vote | SLJ

Today I am doing the summer leaning journey. I got asked to imagine our New Zealander government decides to make new $10 bank note an replace Kate Sheppard with a picture of a different New Zealand women. For this activity I would pick Whina Cooper. Because she worked many years to fight for her people. Also to improve a lot of Maori Women.

    Hi Charlize! Whina Cooper would be a great choice, and seems like an inspiration to many. You've made a really good point of improving a lot of Maori Women. I'd love to see a picture or DLO go with this activity, it would look a lot more intriguing! Well done on this activity, keep it up!
