Climate Change | SLJ | School Strike for Climate

LI: To read an article and write three things you have learnt about.
Today I have completed an activity for week 2 of the summer learning journey. This activity asked me to read an article about Greta Thunberg. In 2018 she stated protesting instead of her going to school she inspired school strike for climate. I also had to take a photo of me helping climate change.

  1. Well done on posting and continuing to participate in the SLJ this year. What could you do to be a climate changemaker Charlize? Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!

  2. Hey Charlize! Using less power sounds like a great idea, and I love this posted you made about Climate Change. People should definitely be informed about what's going on whether it's a big issue or not. I've done a bit of research on Greta Thunberg, and she's a really interesting person. At such a young age, she has inspired a protest for school strike for climate. Did you find out any other interesting facts about her? Great job!

  3. Morena Charlize! How are you doing? The weather’s slightly better. Palm trees are swaying outside my window but aren’t too crazy yet!

Thank you for your blog post! I think Climate Change is such an interesting problem. There are so many different opinions on this topic. Greta Thunberg is a very motivated individual and I think she raises some very important points. It’s really important to try and be sustainable and help conserve the environment. I try to have my coffee in Keep Cups and reduce my plastic wrapper use. I think you’ve done a great job presenting your work! I really like your photograph of your sustainability. Ka pai for your effort!

    Keep up the great blogging!

    Ngā mihi,
    Olive

  4. Hi Charlize!,
What a great DLO you have created about Climate Change. Your example of what you would do to help with climate change is a great thing to do. Wow! You have three very interesting facts that you have learnt. The fact that I found most interesting is how global warming hasn't increased natural disasters. Something I would do to help our environment and climate change is to pick up rubbish even if it isn't mine.

    Good Work!
