Leading by Example / SLJ
This years summer learning journey is about changemakers. Of what people did to change the world. Today I got asked to write a random act of kindness that I would perform. I used a site called Fun RAK ideas. It had a bunch of random act of kindness I could do. I would give a box of chocolate to my teachers each because I have been in their class room for three years.

RAK's are so easy to do and bring so much joy. The easiest RAK is a smile - and it's contagious!
ReplyDeleteYou could leave a box of chocolates in your neighbours letterbox with a RAK note if you wanted to do something before school goes back... Keep blogging Charlize, you're doing a great job!
Hi Charlize
ReplyDeleteA good post. RAKs and always appreciated. They don't have to always involve a gift. They can be as simple doing a "good turn' for someone without being asked.
You are going really well on the SLJ. Keep it up.
Hey Charlize!,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great example of a random act of kindness you would do for your teachers. I agree with Mr Johnston, about how RAKs don't have to involve gifts. I have enjoyed reading about a example of a RAK and your explanation of what you did for this activity.
Well Done!
Hello Charlize,
ReplyDeleteI am Vitaraag and I am participating in the Summer Learning Journey this year. I agree with Mr Johnson and Sakina that you don't always have to give a gift to do a random act of kindness. Even though you gave a gift I still think that it is a random act of kindness. I think that it is very thoughtful of you to give your teachers a box of chocolates! I really like how you explained that you used a website called RAK. Maybe next time you could add a bit more information about how you will give it to them or how you are going to wrap it. Anyways, this is an astonishing blog post! Keep up the phenomenal work!

Kia ora Charlize,
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely meeting you! I am so excited that you are joining us for the Summer Learning Journey 2019-2020. Have you done this programme before?
This is my first year joining the Summer Learning Journey, and I am so excited that I get to read over the Manaiakalani blogs.
I’m really looking forward to summer, aren't you? In my spare time I like spending time at the beach and hanging out with my friends. I also enjoy going for walks and I absolutely love cooking and baking. What are you looking forward to doing this summer?
Can you tell me what the RAK Website was? I'd love to check it out, it sounds awesome. I think the RAK you chose is very kind, I'm sure your teachers would appreciate that. What do you think it is about RAK that make them so special?

Hi Charlize!
ReplyDeleteThis activity you did was great. Remember to re read your text as it might not make sense. What was the hardest part of this activity?
Blog you later!

Hello Charlize! It's great to see you active with the programme again. I think even the littlest of random acts of kindness are really meaningful! A box of chocolates sounds like a beautiful gift for your teacher, especially to acknowledge their hard work. Is there a time you can recall where somebody did a random act of kindness for you? I would love to know...Great work on this activity!
