Celebrating Diversity / SLJ / W2

Today I got asked to research and learn about many different global communicants. We had to pick two articles to learn about. I had picked Australian Aboriginal People and The Inuit People.  Did you know Aboriginal Australians could be the oldest population of humans living outside of Africa. There are four Inuit regions in Canada, collectively known as Inuit Nunangat.  Inuit Nunanga includes land, water, and ice.

  1. Hi Charlize, Mrs Collins from Manaiakalani again commenting on blogs over term break. Well done on posting and participating in the SLJ this year. I really like the DLO you shared about celebrating diversity and I learnt something new too! Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!

  2. Hello Charlize!,
I have enjoyed reading interesting facts about these indigenous communities. The fact that I found more interesting is how the Aboriginal Australians could be the oldest populations who are living outside of Africa. I would love to know a bit more about these indigenous communities. Which of these indigenous communities did you find more interesting?

    Good Job!

  3. Hello Charlize,
Are you having an amazing day? I sure am. I really enjoyed reading about indigenous communities. I feel like it is amazing that Aboriginal Australians could be the oldest population of people living outside of Africa. I really like how you put a link to websites about Aboriginal Australians and The Inuit People. Did you know that the Mayan people have 30 languages. In my opinion I really liked this blog post! Maybe next time you could add a bit more information about both of these people. Overall, this is a phenomenal blog post! Keep up the astonishing work!

  4. Talofa lava Charlize,

I really enjoyed reading through all your activities. Which activity has been your favourite to complete? The facts you chose about these two cultural groups are super interesting. I had no idea about the fact that Aboriginal Australians could potentially be one of the oldest populations of humans living outside of Africia. What is your favourite fact you have learnt through this activity?

This activity you did was great. Remember to re read your text as it might not make sense. What was the hardest part of this activity?
    Blog you later!

  6. Malo e lelei Charlize! I like how you chose to do this activity, by keeping it simple and explaining what the task was in the same paragraph as your work. I also like how you linked the websites/information to the two indigenous communities on their names. Did you find out anything else about the Australian Aboriginal people and The Inuit people? I'd love for you to include pictures as well...Good work!
