LI: to solve a equation about cactus.
Today we have been learning about Weird and Wonderful things such as cactus. I have solved this maths equation: 3ML x 365. How much water would you give to your cactus/plant each day in a year? The answer is 1095

ReplyDeleteThank you for completing this complex cactus maths question. What strategy did you use to solve the equation? Personally, I used the place value partitioning strategy, where I split 365 into 300, 60 and 5. I multiplied them all by 3 which equated to 900, 180 and 15. Then I simply added them all together and the answer was 1095.
When you're solving measurement problems it's always a good idea to put the unit of measurement next to your answer, for example; 1095ml.
Do you know how much water the cactus would need over a ten year period?

ReplyDeleteIt's great to see you are updated with your blogging! Was this Maths problem hard? In the start for me it was hard but then it started to get a bit easier for me. 1095 is the correct answer. Everyone in your class that I have commented on got 1095 as there answer to.
