Zoo trip
We first started off with arranging our groups. After that we went and visited the serval cats. They are an African cat that looks like a cheetah. The zoo keepers made a pole that they use for the behaviour enrichment.
Then we went through a tunnel that we could see was two cheetahs. There behaviour enrichment is a tree or a plate for that they like to use when they climb. Cheetahs can run up to 100km per 30 seconds. There claws are help with there speed ruining. they use there tail to help them change direction and when attacking prey.
After that we went and saw the elephants named Burma and Anjalle from Sri Lanka. There BE is a sack. The zookeepers use a sack because it helps them use there trunk more often like a hand. These elephants are Asian elephants. They are on a hay diet eating grapes and vegetables.
The second to last animal we saw was the flamingos. They eat with a strainer in there beak. They like to eat water insects from the water. Flamingos are pink.
And lastly we went a visited the rhino and Nyala. A rhinos horn is made from keratin which is the same as hair and fingernails.
We would like to give a big thank you to Hohepa and the other zookeper for having us at the Auckland zoo.

Kiwi Sport | Gymnastics
Today LS1 group B had their gymnastics session for kiwi sport. We first started off with playing infinity tag. When you get tagged the person that tagged you, you have to sit down and when they get tagged you stand up and they sit. The type of stretches we did was the L shape, Seal, Butterfly, cat, straddle, back front side support. We also did two new stretches. We do these kind of stretches because it loosens up our mussels.
Rotation 1:
Our first rotation included the beam, blue line on the stage, On the beam we had to leap onto the beam. On the blue line we had to do the knew stretch. And Finlay on the bench we had to do a forward roll.
Rotation 2:
On the second rotation there was a trampoline to jump. Then we had to do a backwards roll on the soft ramp or the floor. With our hands by our head loooking like we are holding 2 pizza in our hand. After that we had to do a routine. And lastly there was another trampoline that we had to jump on it and do a spin.
Rotation 3:
On our last rotation we had to do a handstand on the wall with a bar on the floor. Then we had to do the back/side/front rotation on a shape. before the parallel bars is when you have to life yourself up onto the bars.
I found the stretches difficult because when you stretch it hurts.
