A pulley is used for pulling heavy loads with the use of a rope and a wheel. It has a grooved rim around it. Our group had remembered the objects with a pulley from school trips.

Netball cluster
On Wednesday a large amount of PBS's seniors went to the AMI netball courts and played against many other local schools. Our first game was at 9:55 and played against Panama road. It was a really challenging game as we all had to cope with one another. As we finally finished our first round we won 4 - 1.
Our second round was against Glen Brae. It also was a really challenging game as we knew how to cope and work together. The score was 12 - 0 as panama won. I can tell that the game is a really work on for our group. It also tells me that our group needs to catch the ball.
Our third round was against Bailey road. The score was unknown. We were all relief and found out we won. We also need to work on chess passing and not to contact.
And won our last two games against tamaki primary and sylivia park with the score of 9 - 1 and 8 - 7.

For this they had a partner and a water noodle. One partner was in the water and pretended to drown. So then it was the right time for the other partner to throw the noodle at then and try to save them, at the same time they have to try and pull the person into the water.
For the horizontal rotations they did stream lines. then the swam with face looking straight up with boths hands on the swimming board. Then they did their horizontal to vertical rotation. They had to dive and pick the toys from off the ground. And played shark attack.

This week for Inquiry we had been learning about Incline Plains. For this activity we worked in groups of 2-3. I worked with Fau for this. We had watched two videos based on incline plains and what they are used for.

Then we had created a DLO talking about which is easier, an incline plain or lifting something straight up in the air and why. Then we had to draw an exaple of an inclined plain that we use in an everyday basis.

kiwi can | Self control
Self control is meaning to control your body. Out theme is resilience. Meaning to coping with challenges and bouncing back.
Out first game was called rats and rabbits. The most thing I found challenging about this challenge is how it was pressuring me. To overcome this challenged I breath in and out. Our next game was called 4 challenges.
The first challenge for my group was the alphabet backwards. We also had a 1 minute timer to try and complete it. what I found challenging is that we also got pressured because we only had one minute.
Our next challenge was the work out challenge. It included 5x push ups, 5x sit ups, 5x burpies and 5x squats. The most thing I found challenging is that it was tiering and that is was a hard task to do.
Our third challenge was to match the Maori words to the English words. What I found challenging is Even though I'm Maori i still didn't know some of these words. To overcome me and my group sang the song.
And out last challenge was to remake the kiwi cans catchphrase.

Speachs finals 2019
This Tuesday twelve lucky students from each class got to present their own speeches and poems infront of the whole school. We also had a visitor that judged the students from tamaki collage. The year 1 - 3 did a recital and the year 4 - 8 did a persuasive speech. My favourite poem was Micaela's poem about humpty dumpty. The reason why I picked her is because how she used her voice to speak loud and how she had the confidants as a year 1. My other favourite speach was Mele's. I also like her speech because she has the enthusiasm and she has the confidents to speak.

Print Design Rules
LI: To identify the four area of print design.
Print design rules are used to help you layout your poster or work. There are four areas used in a print design which is Composition, Layout, Colour & Text. Composition is elements that are needed in a poster. Layout is arrangement and aligning. Colour combinations to make your work visible. And Text is fonts, sizes and styles needed to be the same so then the poster can be appealing and easy to see.
